Social media remains a huge part of our lives. Yes, it helps us stay connected, learn about the world, and share our own stories. But it can also be overwhelming, distracting, and even harmful. Thrive by Social is created by a teen, for teens, to help us all take control of our social media experience. Instead of letting online platforms take over our minds and drain our energy, we can use them to grow, connect, and make a difference.
The Three Pillars of Thriving Online:
Mindful Digital Living - Helping teens and young adults build healthier, more intentional relationships with social media.
This pillar focuses on digital wellbeing and everyday tech habits — offering practical, stigma-free tools to manage screen time, reduce comparison, and scroll more mindfully. Whether it’s building “no scroll zones,” practicing digital boundaries, or exploring the emotional impact of online life, this section empowers users to take control of their digital spaces without guilt.
Advocacy & Representation - Centering real voices, lived experiences, and social impact in the digital age.
This section highlights the people and movements challenging what social media could and should be — from influencers using their platforms for good, to teens calling out toxic norms and building communities online. It’s about visibility, equity, and empowering users to think critically, speak up, and create change both on and offline.
Research-Based Insights - Translating science into clear, actionable content for families, students, and educators.
This pillar takes complex research on social media and mental health — and makes it digestible. Through visual stats, study summaries, expert interviews, and parent guides, it helps users understand not just what is happening online, but why it matters. No scare tactics. No confusing language. Just credible, teen-friendly insights you can actually use.
